Established in 2023, Perceptual Tapes is an independent label based in nipaluna, lutruwita / Hobart, Tasmania focusing on releasing new and interesting ambient, drone and experimental music on tape.

Perceptual Tapes is curated by Tim, an ambient musician under the moniker Spectrical, in collaboration with Elise, a visual artist.

Reflecting our interest in combining sound and visual arts, each music release is accompanied with an original painted artwork.
